yay! "boy" is born!

so, remember that baby shower i went to on sunday? where i took a picture with the mom-to-be?

well, it seems we showered her just in time. she began to feel mild contractions on tuesday, went to see the doc ,who gave her some meds to slow them down, since she wasn't scheduled for her c-section for another week - which was already a week early. anyway, they sent her home, but apparently, the baby had an agenda of his own - the contractions got stronger and closer together, and she had him at 8:30 last night!

i'm so happy for them. her hub was so proud of the ultrasound they had last week, during which he pronounced his son as having "giant balls". and like us, they haven't decided on a name yet, so for now he's simply going by "boy". i'll be going to visit them tomorrow, and so you know what THAT means - a pictorial in tomorrow's blog entry.
