back to life, back to reality

you know what's crazy (but fun)?  pulling a birthday party doubleheader while still on italian time.  heh.  but both celebrants are near and dear to the bean's (and my) heart, so although the two parties overlapped a little, we made it happen.  first up - a belated birthday party for one of the bean's dance friends and her little sister.  luckily, this one was just down the street at a local jumpy place.

have i mentioned that my kid is a ham to the nth degree?

as soon as the cake had been served, we said our goodbyes and made our way out to sierra madre, where dailygluttony was celebrating mini-DG's birthday with a star wars-themed shindig.  the wans are not big star wars fans, but we're always down for a good time with good friends.  and she surprised me when she was willing to have the face painter draw a flower on her cheek - she normally avoids face painting like the plague.

piñatas are always a big hit.

ah, it's good to be home.
